Bowtie Expressive Arts Workshop
24 July, Friday
Following our Lunch & Learn session, we conducted an expressive arts workshop for the colleagues at Bowtie Insurance Company.
Our colleagues participated with great enthusiasm, relaxing and becoming more mindful together! We started by opening up conversations through movement, moved on to impromptu collaborative poetry, and finally captured our experiences through drawing. This allowed everyone to connect more deeply with themselves and to understand one another better. May this experience serve as nourishment for future exploration of inner selves and team spirit.

Campus Mental Health Seminar and Closing Ceremony of
"The First Expressive Arts Joint-School Initiative 2025-2026"
17 June, Wednesday
The seminar featured two panel discussions and one keynote speech, and it was heartening to see everyone present enjoying the valuable sharing from our guests.
In the two panel sessions, guests Mr. Aleck and Mr. Steven Lam shared their personal growth journeys. They noted that they did not encounter significant pressure often, and that the companionship and guidance of mentors were particularly helpful in their development. Three participating school principals also shared their school-based experiences, highlighting how they build trust among teachers and create various art spaces within schools, allowing both staff and students to care for their physical and mental well-being. Keynote speaker Dr. Fiona Chang shared how expressive arts bring about positive changes for young people, while also helping teachers better understand students’ needs and alleviate some of their own pressures.
The past year of practice has demonstrated that expressive arts interventions can effectively enhance the psychological resilience of educators. To conclude the seminar, everyone waved colourful cellophane sheets, accompanied by gentle movements and soft sounds, bringing the event to a peaceful close.

We sketched at Hoi Sham Park, using all five senses to really take in the surroundings – the sights, the sounds, the feel of things – and experience the community from every angle. As we drew, we found ourselves connecting the scenes around us with our own stories, noticing how we felt in the moment. Along the way, we discovered hidden beauties of the community we’d normally walk past, and saw our connection to this place in a whole new light.
